Pandeglang itself is a workaday market town — the sights are in the surrounding regency. Volcanic springs, megalithic remains on the slopes of Mount Pulosari, the Sunda Strait beaches at Carita and Anyer, and the wild forests of Ujung Kulon all sit within a couple of hours' drive of the town centre.
