Mujahidi Mosque

Mujahidi Mosque, also known as the Green Mosque, dates to the 12th century. It was known for its dome and finely worked mihrab before large parts of the building were destroyed by ISIS in 2015.

For visitors tracing Mosul's damaged historic fabric, it is part of the same Old City story as the Great Mosque of al-Nuri, Khan al-Gumruk and the surviving churches nearby.
