The Roman Aqueduct north of Acre is a long preserved stretch of ancient waterworks near Shomrat. About 400 m of the structure still stands, making it one of the clearer archaeological sights outside Acre's old city.
The aqueduct is visible from the road and can be approached on foot from the northern edge of Shomrat. It works best as a short side trip for visitors with a car or a strong interest in Roman engineering.
