Treasures in the Walls Museum

Small ethnographic museum about Acre's Ottoman-era history and inhabitants

A compact museum installed in part of the old city walls, telling the social history of Acre through objects, documents, and reconstructions of daily life during the Ottoman period. It covers the city's diverse communities — Arab Muslims, Christians, Jews — and the trade networks that made Acre one of the most important ports in the eastern Mediterranean.

The collection is modest but carefully curated, and the setting inside the fortifications is interesting in itself. It fills the gaps left by the larger Crusader-focused sites nearby, giving the Ottoman centuries the attention they deserve.
