Founded in 1978, the Hiroshima Museum of Art holds a solid collection of Western painting from the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist period — Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Gauguin — alongside Japanese Western-style (yōga) painting from the Meiji and Taisho eras. It is a well-curated, manageable size, and a good reason to spend an extra hour near the castle grounds. Open 9:00–17:00; closed Monday. Entry ¥1,000.
