Mar Mikhael's go-to Japanese sushi counter, run by chef-owner Wissam who lived in Tokyo before opening here. The fish is bought daily, the rice is properly seasoned, and the omakase is the way to go.
The room is small (a 14-seat counter and a few tables in the back). Reserve a counter seat to watch the work. Pricey by Beirut standards and entirely worth it.
