Sassine Square is one of Achrafieh's main meeting points, where several busy streets run together around cafes, shops, and apartment blocks. It is not a grand formal plaza, but it gives a good feel for everyday east Beirut: traffic, coffee, errands, and people watching all pressed into one corner.
Come while walking Achrafieh rather than making a special cross-town trip. The square also helps orient you between Sursock Museum, Gemmayzeh, and the neighbourhood's quieter residential streets.
