Local Dhaba

The dhabas around Bagh's main market and bus stand are the backbone of eating out in the district. These are simple, inexpensive diners serving straightforward Pakistani food: mutton or chicken karahi cooked to order, daal, rice, and roti or naan. Portions are generous and prices are low by any standard.

Service is informal and seating is basic — plastic chairs and metal tables are the norm. Most dhabas open early for breakfast (eggs, paratha, chai) and stay open through the evening. Vegetarians can usually be served with daal and vegetable dishes; just ask.
