Hapao Hot Spring is a simple geothermal spring reached on foot through the rice terraces near Hungduan. The setting is the point: warm water beside a river, with the terraces and mountain air making the journey feel as important as the soak.
Access is not fully straightforward, and the road to the usual starting point is rough. Arrange transport or a local guide from Banaue, and expect the visit to take time rather than work as a quick roadside stop.
