The municipal park across from the Cathedral and City Hall, with mature acacia trees, paved walking paths, and benches for the heat. Local families come for evening strolls; on Sundays the brass band sometimes plays.
A useful five-minute stop between the cathedral and the market, and a good place to find a bench in the shade. The Christmas lights in December are unexpectedly elaborate.
