Things to Do

Adana's sights are spread along both banks of the Seyhan River, with most of the older monuments — the Roman bridge, the Ulu Cami, the Yağ Cami — in the dense Tepebağ quarter east of the city centre. The big modern landmark, the Sabancı Central Mosque, sits beside the river slightly further north and dominates almost every view. A walk linking these together, finishing at the riverside park, makes a satisfying half-day on foot.
