Bagbasi Plateau rises above Denizli and gives the city an accessible mountain escape, with cooler air, forested slopes, and views over the valley. It is a good contrast to the heat and travertine crowds around Pamukkale.
The plateau is most useful as a relaxed half-day outing, especially when the cable car is operating. Weather can change quickly at elevation, so bring an extra layer even if Denizli itself is warm.
