The original 1872 telegraph station, built beside the permanent waterhole on the Todd River that gave Alice Springs its name. The stone buildings are well preserved and interpret the work of the overland telegraph operators who maintained the line connecting Darwin to Adelaide. The surrounding reserve has pleasant walking trails along the Todd River. Located about 2 km north of the town centre.
