The Residency is a 1927 government house that served as the official residence for the Government Representative to Central Australia. It now works as a small house museum, with rooms and displays covering Alice Springs' early administrative and social history.
It is a useful stop in the town centre, especially if you are already visiting nearby historic sites such as Stuart Town Gaol and Adelaide House.
