Yulara

Resort village serving the national park

Yulara, the only settlement near the park, is a purpose-built tourist village 20 km north of the park boundary. Everything in town is operated by Ayers Rock Resort: the campground, the hotels, several restaurants, the IGA supermarket and the small visitor centre. The free shuttle bus runs to and from each property in a continuous loop.

For self-catering or budget visitors, the supermarket is a useful stop — food and drink are notoriously expensive at the resorts. The Wintjiri Arts and Museum and the nightly bush-tucker talks at the town square are worth half an hour.
