Suva drinks. The student population at the University of the South Pacific and the relatively cosmopolitan civil service mean the city has more bars than the rest of Fiji combined — most clustered along Victoria Parade and MacArthur Street. The Royal Suva Yacht Club on Walu Bay is the most pleasant place for a sundowner; the rougher clubs around the centre stay open late at the weekend but are not for the faint-hearted.
