Suva is the duty-free shopping centre of Fiji, with prices on electronics, watches, and perfume cheaper than Sydney or Auckland. The shops cluster on Cumming Street, Renwick Road, and Thomson Street — most are run by Indo-Fijian families and most will bargain.
For souvenirs, the Suva Handicraft Market on Stinson Parade is the obvious stop. For groceries and supermarkets, the big MHCC department store and the Cost-U-Less just outside the centre are the usual choices.
