St Michael and All Angels Church

St Michael and All Angels is a timber Anglican church dating from 1872, notable in Christchurch because it survived the earthquakes with only minor damage. Its separate bell tower gives the site a different profile from the city's better-known stone churches.

It is a quiet central stop rather than a major attraction, but worthwhile for visitors following Christchurch's surviving heritage buildings and post-earthquake story.
