Après-ski is part of Zell am See's culture, though it is a quieter resort than Ischgl or Sölden. Bars in the old town fill up after the lifts close. Café culture extends into the summer: the lakefront terraces are good places to sit with a Kaffee und Kuchen in the afternoon.
The Crazy Daisy, one of the livelier bars in town, has regular live music and DJs. George's Bar at the Hotel St Georg, on Schillerstrasse, has a more relaxed atmosphere with a wine cellar and a good selection of Austrian wines.
