Ordubad History Museum

Regional history museum housed in a former mosque

Established in 1981 and housed in the Juma Mosque building, the Ordubad History Museum covers the history and culture of the Ordubad region from ancient times to the present. The collection spans eight departments and includes national art, musical instruments, traditional costumes and jewellery, paintings, sculpture, applied arts, ancient coins, woodwork, coppersmith and ceramics, carpets, photographs, and archival documents — around 400 exhibits in total. Archaeological finds from local excavations are also on display.
