The Skywalk is the highlight of the Biokovo Nature Park: a horseshoe-shaped glass-floored platform cantilevered out from the mountain at 1,228 metres, with the sea, Brač, Hvar, and on clear days the Italian peninsula visible below. The drive up from Makarska along the narrow, twisting Park road takes about 45 minutes; the road is one-way for stretches and traffic is limited by ticket.
Buy a Skywalk and park ticket in advance in summer — they sell out for individual time slots. Wear closed shoes for the steel walkway. The park entrance, additional viewpoints, and the bear-and-eagle preserves are included.
