Tučepi is the small resort village just south of Makarska, with a long beach, several large hotels, and a less hectic feel than its bigger neighbour. The old village of Podpeć on the slopes above is worth the climb for the view back across the coast, and a couple of small konobas (taverns) serve traditional Dalmatian food away from the seafront.
A 10-minute drive or a 45-minute walk along the coastal path from Makarska. Buses run regularly in summer.
