Sveti Petar

Small peninsula and park west of the harbour

Sveti Petar is the small pine-shaded peninsula that forms the western arm of Makarska's harbour. The walking path circles the point, with rocky swimming spots, a small lighthouse, and a chapel after which the headland is named. The views back across to the old town with Biokovo as backdrop are the best in Makarska.

Free, open at all hours. A 20-minute walk from the centre of town. Good at sunset.
