The town's main indoor sports facility, on the eastern edge of the centre, hosts regional handball matches, basketball games, and the occasional concert. Most visitors will only end up here for a specific event — check the local listings if you are in town in winter, when the handball season is at its noisy peak.
The grounds outside include an athletics track and a swimming pool that is open to the public in summer.
