The Basilica Minor on the Holy Hill stands above Olomouc at Svaty Kopecek, its twin towers and long Baroque facade visible from the surrounding countryside. It has been a pilgrimage church for centuries and still feels more ceremonial than parish-like.
Inside, the decoration is rich without losing the clear geometry of the building. The trip also gives a useful change of scale from Olomouc's squares and university streets, especially if you combine it with the hilltop views.
