Olomouc's Botanic Gardens sit around the Flora exhibition grounds, giving the city a quieter green attraction beyond its Baroque squares and church towers. The gardens are most rewarding when the greenhouses or seasonal displays are open.
They are not a reason to come to Olomouc by themselves, but they make a pleasant pause if you are spending more than a few hours in town. Combine them with the nearby parks and the old centre rather than treating them as an isolated destination.
