Det Ny Teater is one of Copenhagen's grand theatre buildings, opened in 1908 on the edge of Vesterbro. It is best known today for large musicals and popular stage productions, but the building itself is part of the appeal, with an ornate auditorium and a confident early twentieth-century facade.
Check the programme before you go, especially if you do not speak Danish. Even without a performance, it is worth noticing while walking between Frederiksberg, Vesterbro, and the city centre.
