Helsingør Bymuseum is the town museum, housed in a nearly 500-year-old building with layers of history as a Carmelite hospital, Renaissance manor, and later town institution. The exhibits focus on Helsingør's local history and the building itself.
It is a good companion to the old town lanes around Stengade and the Carmelite Priory, especially if you want context beyond Kronborg Castle.
