Carlsens Kvarter, just off the central square, has been pouring beer in this exact spot since 1972. It is unflashy from outside but inside you find a long wooden bar, low lighting, and a chalk board of 20-something rotating taps that lean heavily on Belgian and Danish craft. The bottle list runs to several hundred.
The atmosphere is end-of-shift quiet on weeknights and packed on Friday and Saturday. No food beyond bar snacks; it is a place to drink and talk.
