Silkeborg's main draws are on and around its lakes. The Tollund Man at the museum is the most compelling single sight — one of the best-preserved bog bodies in the world, and genuinely haunting to see in person. The Hjejlen paddle steamer and the AQUA freshwater aquarium round out a good day in the town centre, while the lakes and forests provide excellent grounds for walking, cycling, and canoeing.
