EMMA is the largest art museum in Finland by floor area, occupying the cathedral-like main hall of the former Weilin & Göös printing house, a 1960s industrial building by architect Aarno Ruusuvuori. The exposed concrete columns and high ceilings make it one of the more dramatic museum spaces in the country. The collection focuses on Finnish and international modern and contemporary art, with strong holdings of Tapio Wirkkala and the constructivist Saastamoinen Foundation collection.
The museum shares the WeeGee Exhibition Centre with the Finnish Museum of Horology, the Finnish Toy Museum, and the Espoo City Museum's outpost — one ticket gets you into all of them. The metro stops at Tapiola, a 10-minute walk away.
