Sulaoja Nature Trail

The Sulaoja Nature Trail is a short, hilly 2 km walk around the holy spring of Sulaoja, known in Northern Sami as Suttesjohka, the "non-freezing stream." The trail mixes landscape and local history, including the autumnal moth outbreak that stripped large areas of fell birch forest in the 1960s.

It is a small outing, not a major expedition, but it gives a good feel for the quiet, open country around Karigasniemi.
