Jardin Botanique de l'Arquebuse

A two-hectare botanical garden and arboretum laid out on the site of the 16th-century arquebusiers' (musketeers') training ground, beside the train station. It contains some 3,500 species in themed beds — medicinal plants, regional flora, vegetable garden, alpine rockery — and a small arboretum of mature trees, including a sequoia and a Caucasian wingnut.

The adjacent Natural History Museum, free and aimed primarily at children, makes the garden a good rainy-afternoon option for families. The garden itself is open daily until dusk, free of charge.
