A parish church a few streets from the cathedral, founded in the 13th century and rebuilt after a citywide fire in 1487 destroyed much of the medieval town. The current building is a late-Gothic structure with a Renaissance porch.
Notre-Dame is a useful comparison: it shows what an ordinary, well-funded urban church looked like in late-medieval France — and reminds the visitor just how exceptional the cathedral up the hill really is.
