Tucked inside the Faculty of Medicine on rue de l'École de Médecine, the Musée Atger holds one of France's finest collections of drawings — Flemish, Italian, Dutch, German, and French schools spanning the Renaissance to the 19th century. Xavier Atger spent a lifetime assembling it before bequeathing the lot to the faculty. The setting is wonderfully incongruous: old masters on the walls of a working medical school.
The faculty's library also houses manuscripts dating back to the 8th century. Open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons (13:30–17:45), closed in August and over Christmas. Group visits by appointment only.
