Porte de la Craffe

Porte de la Craffe is the most striking surviving gate of Nancy's old fortifications. Its twin round towers date from the 14th century and still mark the northern edge of the old town.

It is a small stop, but a useful one: the gate gives the Vieille Ville a medieval anchor before the city opens into its grand ducal and 18th-century squares.
