Musée Eugène Boudin

Impressionist museum centred on Boudin and the Honfleur school

Address Place Erik Satie

The town's main art museum, named for Honfleur's most famous son, Eugène Boudin — the painter whom Monet credited with teaching him to see. The collection focuses on the Honfleur school: Boudin's beach scenes and sky studies, paintings by Monet, Courbet, Dufy, and the more local Saint-Siméon group, plus a strong holding of Norman folk costume on the upper floor.

The building itself is a modern extension grafted onto a 19th-century chapel. Allow an hour to ninety minutes. Closed Tuesdays.
