The chairlift from Assmannshausen climbs above the Rhine vineyards toward the Jagdschloss Niederwald. From the top, walking paths continue through the Niederwald landscape park and on toward the Niederwald Monument above Rudesheim.
The ride is short, but the open views over the Rhine gorge make it a good way to link Assmannshausen with the wider Rudesheim walking route.
