Strandhalle Binz

The Strandhalle is the historic seafront restaurant at the foot of the Binz pier, all white-painted Bäderarchitektur and a wide terrace facing the Baltic. The menu runs to local fish — pan-fried plaice with potatoes and parsley, herring rolls, fish soup — alongside Schnitzel and other German staples. Nothing fancy, and the prices reflect the seaside-restaurant context, but the location is what brings people in.

It works equally well for a long lunch with a beer or a candlelit dinner with the lights of the pier reflecting on the water. Booking is essential in high summer.
