Piraeus has more for the curious traveller than its reputation suggests: a serious archaeological museum, a maritime museum that traces Greek seafaring from antiquity to the present, several century-old theatres, and the breezy Kastella hill with views over the harbour. The little harbours of Mikrolimano and Zea on the east side of the peninsula are the prettiest places to walk.
