Fontana del Moro

Fontana del Moro anchors the southern end of Piazza Navona, where the square's theatre-like curve is at its busiest. Bernini designed the fountain's setting, while Giacomo della Porta carved the central Moor wrestling with a dolphin.

It is not a reason to cross Rome on its own, but it gives Piazza Navona one of its best details. Look closely at the central figure, then step back to take in the way the fountain helps frame the whole square.
