An Art Nouveau bar at the Piazza del Duomo entrance to the Galleria, open since 1915. The birthplace of Campari Soda — the pre-mixed drink was invented here — and still the best place in Milan for a Campari Spritz or a Negroni at the zinc stand-up bar. The interior, with its gilded mosaics and frescoed ceiling, is worth seeing even if you only stop for a coffee.
Stand at the bar rather than taking a table — it's how locals use it and the experience is more authentic.
