Via Dante is the broad pedestrian street linking Cordusio with Largo Cairoli and the approach to Castello Sforzesco. It is lined with shops, cafe terraces, handsome palazzi, and the Piccolo Teatro, so the walk often feels livelier than the short distance suggests.
It can be packed at weekends and around Christmas, but it is still one of the easiest central Milan strolls: part shopping street, part architectural corridor, and part route to the castle.
