Capriccioli

Capriccioli is one of the most photographed beaches on the Costa Smeralda and on a calm day it looks the part — two crescents of white sand divided by a tumble of granite boulders, with the water shading from turquoise to deep blue. The smaller, eastern beach (Capriccioli Est) is the more sheltered of the two and is popular with snorkellers; the western beach is wider and gets the afternoon sun longer.

Both beaches are partly free and partly run by paying beach clubs. There is a paid car park behind the dunes. In high season the islet of Soffi just offshore — visible from the beach — is the destination for organised snorkelling trips out of Porto Cervo and Cala di Volpe.
