Liscia Ruja, also called Long Beach, is the longest beach on the Costa Smeralda — a kilometre of fine, pale sand backed by juniper and a low ridge of granite. The water is shallow for a long way out, which makes it a favourite with families, and the bay is protected enough that the surface usually stays glassy until early afternoon.
Half the beach is taken up by two beach clubs (Phi Beach and Long Beach, both with restaurants and loungers); the rest is free public sand. The car park at the south end fills by mid-morning in August. The road in from the SP59 is unpaved for the last few hundred metres and not signposted; look for the turn-off near the Pitrizza-Romazzino fork.
