Pantelleria is an island for active loafing — hike Montagna Grande, walk down to a hot spring on the coast, drift around the headlands by boat, climb through caper terraces. The big set-pieces are Lago di Venere, the Sesi necropolis at Mursia, the coastal arches at L'Arco dell'Elefante and Cala Tramontana, and the volcanic landscape of the National Park.
