Luxembourg is small enough that the whole country is accessible as a day trip from the capital. The castle town of Vianden is 40 km north, the Benedictine abbey town of Echternach 30 km northeast, and the Moselle wine villages are under an hour by public transport — which has been free nationwide since 2020. The Ardennes forest, the Müllerthal hiking region, and the border towns of Trier (Germany) and Metz (France) are all within comfortable reach by car or train.
