Things to Do

Luxembourg City rewards slow exploration on foot. The old town's UNESCO-listed fortifications — including 23 kilometres of underground casemates — are the obvious starting point, but the city also has serious contemporary art and natural history museums, and the Kirchberg plateau to the east houses one of Europe's better concert halls, the Philharmonie. Most of the major sights are within easy walking distance of each other along the southern rim of the Haute Ville.
