Sandweiler German Military Cemetery contains the graves of more than 10,000 German soldiers, many killed during the Battle of the Bulge in 1944 and 1945. It is a sober World War II memorial site east of Luxembourg City.
The cemetery is close enough to combine with the Luxembourg American Cemetery, giving visitors a quieter companion stop to the better-known American memorial.
