Sveti Marko Island lies close to the Island of Flowers, a green shape in the shallow part of Tivat Bay. For years it was associated with resort schemes and abandoned holiday infrastructure, which gives it a slightly unresolved look from the water.
Most visitors see it from boats or from the shore rather than landing. It is useful mainly as part of the wider Tivat bay landscape: islands, salt pans, airport, marina, and mountains all packed into a small arc.
